Pre-Hair Transplant Instructions

Before the hair transplant operation (and during the consultation stages of the arrangement), please inform us about any medical issues and medications you are taking. If you have any health problems, consult your doctor about your planned hair transplant procedure. We will provide insight, but you should also discuss it with your primary physician or dermatologist.

Refrain from consuming caffeine and alcohol two days before your procedure. Both substances may affect the efficiency of local anesthetics administered before the operation. Smoking constricts blood vessels, decreasing blood flow to the scalp and limiting nutrient delivery to the follicles. Avoid smoking the day before the procedure and during the first week after surgery to ensure your follicles receive adequate nutrition. Ideally, quit smoking permanently to improve your hair’s health and density.

On the hair transplant procedure day, shower and maintain good hygiene on the morning of the operation. Do not use any styling products in your hair. Arrive well-rested and having eaten a light breakfast, avoiding caffeine. Wear a buttoned or wide-collar T-shirt to prevent dragging it over your scalp. This practice is beneficial during the weeks following the procedure as well. Wear comfortable clothing during the operation, which typically takes around six hours, depending on the number of grafts.
No companions are allowed in the operation room. We will host your companions in our cafeteria lounge or waiting area. Do not chew gum, and minimize talking during the operation. You do not need to pay anything in advance or make a deposit to book our package. Upon booking, send us a screenshot of your flight ticket, and we will reserve the package. Don’t hesitate to contact us one last time before confirming the flight tickets for final confirmation.
When coming to Istanbul, we recommend bringing checked baggage, not just a carry-on bag, to take home the shampoo and lotion included in the package. Upon arrival in Istanbul, please pay at our clinic in cash, using Euros, US Dollars, British Pounds, or Turkish Liras.
